Happy 50th Birthday Paula Radcliffe!

Happy 50th Birthday to Paula Radcliffe! It’s remarkable that the ‘queen of distance running’ is now 50 years old. Born on December 17, 1973 in Northwich, Cheshire, Paula has been a trailblazer and a champion for women's athletics since her early days. 50 years old today!

Paula holds several world records: the marathon (2hr 15min 25secs which she set in 2003), 20km (1hr 8mins 49secs) 10km road race record (31mins 21 secs) and 1 hour run record (16km 927m). She also won three gold medals at major championships - one in 2001 World Championships for 5000m, one in 2002 European Championships for 10,000m and one at the 2005 World Championships Marathon.

Paula’s career accomplishments have had a lasting impact — she has been an inspiration to many aspiring athletes around the world and her influence on women in sport is undeniable.

Happy 60th Birthday to Eddie 'the Eagle' Edwards! From humble beginnings in Cheltenham, England, to soaring heights as a remarkable athlete and Olympic skier, this legendary Brit has certainly made his mark on the world.

This birthday marks sixty years of an extraordinary life for Eddie 'the Eagle'. After starting out as a plasterer's apprentice at age 15, he decided to pursue ski jumping full-time and diligently trained for the Olympics. He became one of Britain’s most beloved sports stars when he competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary despite being underprepared and having limited resources - all with a smile on his face! While he didn't place well on the global stage, back home he was hailed a hero for his courage and determination.

Since then, Eddie 'the Eagle' has continued to use his platform to inspire others and promote the Olympic spirit. He’s travelled the world sharing his story, competed in a variety of extreme sports events, written books, established charities and become an ambassador for several organisations. On top of all that he's also been awarded an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for services to sport!

This remarkable Brit is turning 60 today. It’s a testament to how age is truly just a number and in the spirit of the young at heart, we trust he'll be enjoying our 60th birthday game to mark the occasion. Happy 70th Birthday Griff Rhys Jones!

Griff Rhys Jones, the beloved British actor and comedian, is celebrating his milestone 70th birthday today! The man who made us laugh our socks off in Alas Smith & Jones, Not the Nine O'Clock News and Three Men in a Boat is now officially into his eighth decade!

The multi-talented star has had a successful career spanning five decades. He has been on television since 1979 when he first appeared on BBC's "Not The Nine O'Clock News" alongside Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith and Pamela Stephenson.

Griff is also a renowned writer, having written several autobiographies as well as books on subjects such as British history and houses. He has also written for many stage productions across the UK, including his adaptation of 'Three Men in a Boat'.

On this special day, we wish Griff Rhys Jones all the best for his 70th birthday! Hopefully he'll have time for a round or two of the 70th Birthday Game during his celebrations.

Today is a big milestone for Hugh Bonneville – the actor and producer is turning 60 years old!

Best known for his roles in Downton Abbey and Paddington, Hugh Bonneville has been entertaining audiences around the world for decades. He first made waves on TV in 1991 with his role as Edward Pelham in "The Cazalets". Since then, he's taken on many iconic roles on stage, television and film.

On stage, he's appeared in productions like King Lear at The Old Vic Theatre and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. His small screen credits include Viceroy’s House (2017), Doctor Who (2005), The Hollow Crown (2012) and Call the Midwife (2010-19). On the big screen, Hugh has starred in films such as Notting Hill (1999), Paddington 1 & 2 (2014/2017), The Monuments Men (2014) and Mission Impossible: Fallout (2018).

It's a big day for English football legend Ian Wright - he's officially turning 60 years old! For those who've been following him throughout his career, it's a reminder of how far this man has come in the past few decades.

From humble beginnings growing up on an inner city council estate in south London, Ian Wright established himself as one of England's brightest stars with spells at Crystal Palace, Arsenal and West Ham United in the late 1980s and 1990s. He was renowned for his pacey runs down the wing or through the middle of the park and possessed an eye for goal that made him a feared opponent.

Fast forward to today, Ian Wright is still celebrated by fans all over the world, thanks to his appearances in various radio and television shows, including Match of the Day, A League Of Their Own and The Wright Stuff. He has also written four books: "My Life In Football," "Wrighty: My Story So Far," "Ian Wright - It's Only A Game" and "I Am The Wright Idea."

Happy 70th Birthday Peter Mandelson!

Today marks a very special day for Peter Mandelson: he is turning 70 years old! For the last 70 years, Peter has made incredible contributions to British politics and public life. He was born in London in 1953 and joined the Labour Party in 1976.

He has held a number of high-profile political positions, including Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, and European Commissioner for Trade. He was instrumental in brokering the Good Friday Agreement in 1998, which led to peace in Northern Ireland after more than three decades of unrest.

As well as his impressive political career, Peter is also known for his writing and speaking skills. He has written books about British politics and appeared on television numerous times as a pundit or guest commentator. A man of good taste, we hope he will mark 70 years of age with a round or two of our 70th Birthday Game!

Beverley Turner is turning 50 and it's time to celebrate! This amazing woman has achieved so much in the past 50 years. From becoming a successful TV personality, author, journalist, presenter and radio broadcaster to raising three children - she really is a superwoman!

At just 20 years of age Beverley won ITV’s Search for A Star competition which launched her career as a television presenter. She went on to present major programmes such as Big Strong Boys and The World Cup Rally alongside Eamonn Holmes. She also presented BBC2’s Inside Out show from 1997-2001.

Throughout her life Beverley has made appearances on shows such as Dancing On Ice (as an expert judge), Strictly Come Dancing (as a guest judge), This Morning, Loose Women and The X Factor. She also wrote for the Telegraph newspaper for 8 years amongst other newspapers.

Beverley has written five books so far, including her autobiography entitled 'I'm Not Really Here'.

In addition to being an established career woman, Beverley is also a mother of three children - two boys aged 13 and 10 and a daughter who is seven. An ideal group for a quick round or two of our 50th Birthday Game we'd say!

Happy 70th Birthday to Les Dennis! The English comedian, actor and presenter, best known for presenting Family Fortunes and Celebrity Big Brother, is celebrating turning 70 year today.

Les has been in show business for over 40 years, starting out with stand-up comedy performances on the club circuit back in the late 1970s. He landed his first professional role as Fletch in a touring production of Porridge in 1979 before he moved into television with sketch show The Les Dennis Laughter Show – and the rest is history!

And on the subject of laughter, let's remember that you can effortlessly add lots of chuckles of any 70th birthday celebration with our very own 70th Birthday Game. But I digress! Let's get back to lovely Les:

Over a career of more than four decades, Les has become one of Britain's most recognised faces on TV. He's presented several shows including Family Fortunes, Fantasy Football League and Celebrity Squares, and he's also appeared in many programmes such as The Impressions Show with Culshaw & Stephenson, Extras, Coronation Street, Little Britain and Benidorm.

As well as performing on the small screen, Les has also starred in the West End musicals Chicago and Rent, taken a lead role in film The Bespoke Overcoat (which was nominated for an Oscar) and even released two albums of covers. He also took part in the seventh series of Celebrity Big Brother where he made it to third place.
