Here’s the latest take on a timeless, top-selling family card game: HAPPY FAMILIES
This unique special edition Happy Families card game has been extensively personalized for families with the surname TAYLOR. So if your family name is Taylor then this is YOUR FAMILY GAME !!
Retaining all the charm and fun of the classic game, the unique TAYLOR edition of the classic game includes hilarious new illustrated cards that are also peppered with all kinds of blurb about Taylors.
If you’re wondering what that blurb could possibly be then here’s a taster of the sort of things you might learn whilst playing the Taylor edition of the Happy Families card game: The name Taylor is widely believed to have its origins in the Tailoring profession and this is somewhat correct. However centuries ago when surnames were first introduced, the name Taylor was given to anyone whose job was cutting, not just tailors. So a Taylor is really a cutter.
Given that the name Taylor has links with the tailoring profession, you may wonder why it is spelled “Taylor” and not “Tailor”. Well that’s because in Old English, the letters ‘I’ and ‘Y’ used to be interchangeable so a Taylor was a Tailor and vice-versa.
Whilst enjoying the humor packed into the illustrated cards, you might also learn earnest stuff like a common Taylor family motto is: “In Cruce Salus” which means “Salvation from the Cross” or you could glean that there’s a whole theory of productivity called Taylorism.
So all in all, it’s a Taylor thing through and through. If you’re a Taylor family (or perhaps if you know one) then this is a must-have item !!!
